Resurgence of ISKP and its regional security implications in the Indo-Pacific

In this episode of the IPC podcast, I explore Islamic State in Khorasan Province (ISKP) and the resurgence of the caliphate and its regional security implications with Mr. Asif Fuard. Terrorism and terrorist groups are a major cause of insecurity to countries and regions. The presence of the ISKP is not only a threat to the Central/South Asian region, but has moved beyond the Indo-Pacific Region. Mr. Fuard opines that the caliphate can resurge due to six factors, among which, the instability in the region takes prominence. ISKP is not only a threat to regional security but is a threat to global security, therefore, Mr. Fuard argues that state-level cooperation and intelligence sharing will be crucial for ensuring a safer and secure Indo-Pacific region.
